Torch experience left East Preston man feeling like a superstar
“I FEEL like a superstar” – these were the words of an East Preston man as he reflected on his monumental Olympic Torch journey, this week.
Chris Shore, of Seaview Avenue, took to the streets of Portland Bill, near Weymouth, Dorset, to complete his much-anticipated 300m section of the Olympic Torch relay, on Friday. Chris, who was nominated for his selfless volunteer work helping elderly people in Rustington go shopping, said Friday’s run was just starting to sink in. “It was amazing, I just can’t describe it. It was surreal – it was a totally different world.”
