TORY ELECTED

Sussex father of six, Simon Radford-Kirby, has won the East Sussex County Council seat of Pevensey & Westham with a 48% majority over the Lib Dems.

Simon, 40, a highly-regarded Tory campaigner polled over 70% of the vote in yesterday's by-election which followed the death of previous Councillor John Vincent.

'I'm honoured that so many local people have put their trust in me and I promise to fight hard to make sure they get nothing less than the very best from the county council,' said Simon, 'I delighted with the result. We have worked extremely hard and have beaten the Liberals convincingly'
