Traders meet to boost Seaford

SEAFORD Town Council organised a meeting with businesses to glean their ideas for improving the town.

Traders said Seaford needed more bed and breakfasts to meet demand.

Other issues discussed included the Christmas lights, parking and developments in Seaford.

Cllr Paul Franklin, who helped organise the event, said: “I was absolutely delighted that so many businesses came out in force - we even had people standing at the back.

“They wanted to improve Seaford as a tourist area. That was the main thing that would help businesses with people coming in.”

Traders reported there was a shortage of B&B accomodation in Seaford.

The meeting was held on Tuesday September 27 at St James Hall in Sutton Road.

Cllr Franklin said he was delighted with the meeting and is considering holding another one. He thanked everyone who helped organise the event, including the town clerk and cllr Ian White and his wife who did the catering, as well as those who attended.
