Pedestrian taken to hospital after road collision

Emergency services were called to Chapel Road, Worthing at 10.55am on Friday (February 5) to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.

A man and a car collided near to the junction with Stoke Abbott Road, according to Sussex Police.

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said the man is in his 50s and suffered a head injury and abdomen pain.

He was fully conscious when he was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital.
