Road closure after fire in city centre flat
Police have closed the southbound lanes of Grand Parade in Brighton, as firefighters deal with a blaze in a ground-floor flat.
Four fire engines were called to the scene at 10.41am this morning (November 21), following reports of a fire in the basement of a property.
A fire service spokesperson said: “The fire has now been extinguished and crews are still currently at the scene cutting away and ensuring that there is no fire spread. “There are no injuries reported.”
