TRAFFIC UPDATE: Flipped car closes A285 in Upwaltham

A car flipped onto its side on the A285 in Upwaltham earlier tonight, leading to the road being closed in both directions, police have confirmed.

The female driver was reported trapped when police were called at 6.25pm, but the car was then righted and she was found to have only sustained minor injuries, according to police.

Fire and rescue services and paramedics also attended the scene between Selhurstpark Road and Beechwood Lane, police added.

The road remains closed between Goodwood turn-off and Duncton as a precaution, a police spokesperson said.

Motorists are advised to seek an alterative route.
