Train as avolunteerat WildlifeTrust

AN exciting volunteer opportunity to work with and receive training from conservation experts is being offered by the Sussex Wildlife Trust following a grant from the Prince’s Countryside Fund.

Training as a volunteer assistant reserves officer for one year is being offered to young people aged between 18 and 25 years old living in, or close to Sussex who have an interest in wildlife and conservation and need to learn skills to enable them to seek employment in this field.

Once in post, the volunteer will work towards a Level 2 Diploma in Environmental Conservation, receive on-the-job training learning skills including coppicing, scrub cutting, animal husbandry and livestock handling as well as off road driving and first aid.

Interested candidates will need to work as part of a team but also be able to work on their own initiative.
