A23 re-opens for motorists after flooding at Handcross Hill

The A23 has re-opened, having been closed in both directions due to flooding at Handcross Hill this morning (Friday January 17).

Heavy rain overnight hasd led to 18 inches of water across the carriageway, where road works are currently in place, between the VOSA weigh bridge and garden centre.

The B2116 Albourne Road in Henfield is still blocked in both directions between the A281 Crouch Hill junction and the A281 junction, because of flooding.
