A259 reportedly clear following West Sussex multi-vehicle collision
Fire crews joined police officers and paramedics at the scene in Rustingtonaround 3pm today (Wednesday, October 23).

Hide AdA spokesperson for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: “We responded to a road traffic collision involving three vehicles on the A259 westbound, between East Preston roundabout and Rustington roundabout.
"Joint Fire Control sent fire engines from East Preston and Worthing to the scene, as well as a heavy rescue tender from Worthing.
"Upon arrival fire crews assisted Sussex Police in making the scene safe, before leaving the scene at around 4pm.
"The incident was left in the care of Sussex Police.”

Hide AdPeople have reported that they had been ‘stuck in traffic for an hour’ following a multi-vehicle collision in the West Sussex village. Despite the congestion the collision had caused, the road is now clear, according to AA traffic watch.
