Bexhill woman dies in collision on the A21

The person who died in a collision on the A21 has been identified as a 40-year-old woman from Bexhill, the Kent coroner service has confirmed.

Kathryn Knight died on Thursday, November 26, after her car left the carriageway of the A21 near Tonbridge, Kent, and collided with a fence.

Emergency services attended the scene following the collision, which happened at about 6.50pm, but she was pronounced dead at the scene, Kent Police said.

The Kent coroner service confirmed her identity on Wednesday (December 9) after her inquest was formally opened.

Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is investigating the circumstances of the collision and officers are appealing for any witnesses to get in contact.

Officers said Kathryn Knight was travelling in a white Mini Cooper along the A21, from North Farm towards Tonbridge, when the incident happened.

Police would also like to obtain dash cam footage that shows the vehicle prior to and in the moments leading up to the collision.
