Car crashes and chimney fire attended by West Sussex firefighters

INCIDENTS attended by West Sussex firefighters yesterday (Wednesday, March 14) include:-

Wednesday, March 14, 9.42am to 10.08am:

A259 at Elbridge – Van and a single-decker bus in collision. No-one was trapped, passengers assessed at scene by paramedics but no recorded casualties. Scene made safe by firefighters from Bognor Regis. Incident left with police.

Wednesday, March 14, 4.08pm to 4.47pm:

Old Shoreham Road, Shoreham – Crash involving six cars. One elderly man had to be cut out of a car by firefighters and taken to hospital by ambulance. Crews from Worthing and Shoreham in attendance.

Wednesday, March 14, 10.34pm to 11.44pm:

Thatched house, in Climping Street, Climping – Chimney fire. One hose used to protect thatched roof of house and chimney fire extinguished. Crews from Littlehampton, Arundel, Bognor and East Preston in attendance.
