@Sargepatrol on Twitter spotted what he called the ‘best road sign of the day’ near Tesco in Crawley

Designed to make people aware of roadworks the sign has in fact created more confusion for mystified motorists. It reads: “This road will be closed for any inconvenience 06/04/21 for one day sorry.”

The amusing sign sparked many humorous comments on social media.

The sign is now understood to have been corrected as of April 1.
