COUNTY NEWS: Man dies in Gatwick Airport crash

A man died after a motorbike and a car crashed at Gatwick Airport.

Police said a black VW Passat car and a grey Yamaha motorcycle collided along Perimeter Road South at around 2pm on Friday (March 10).

The 25-year-old, from Crawley, who was riding the motorbike, was flown to St George’s Hospital in London. Police said he died later at hospital.

A 42-year-man, who was driving the Passat, was not hurt.

Police are looking to speak to the driver of a black BMW seen travelling on the Perimeter Road South prior to the collision.

Anyone who saw what happened, or the vehicles prior to the collision, is asked to contact police online https://sussex.police.uk/contact-us/response-to-appeal/ or on [email protected] quoting Operation Abode.
