Cowfold crash victim named

A man who died following a collision in Cowfold has been named by Sussex Police.

Anthony Parkes, 74, of Mayers Wood, Partridge Green, was injured when his red Ford Ka left the road in Henfield Road, Cowfold at the junction with the A272 and overturned, at 9.40am on Friday March 15.

Nobody else was in the vehicle.

Mr Parkes was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with chest injuries, but his condition deteriorated and he died in hospital on Monday March 25.

Sussex Police continue to appeal for anyone with information about the collision to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting Operation Radius or you can email [email protected]

PC Douglas Park, of the force’s Road Policing Unit, said: “There is no evidence that any other vehicle was involved but if anyone saw what happened we would be grateful if they could call us on 101 quoting Operation Radius.
