Traffic is backed up in the area due to the closure, which is in place both ways between Chessall Avenue and Fairbank Road in Southwater, the AA said.
Sussex Police said: “At 3.15pm on Thursday 29 April a bus and a car collided in Worthing Road, Southwater. Three people on the bus received medical treatment at the scene but their conditions were not described as serious.”
