Cyclist airlifted to hospital after Hampden Park crash

A cyclist was injured after an accident in Acacia Road in Hampden Park this morning (December 8).

Sussex Police, the ambulance service and the air ambulance were called, after an accident between a cyclist and a car just before 9am.

A police spokesman said the cyclist was in his sixties and had been airlifted to St George’s Hospital in London, with what is thought to be serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
