Police are appealing for witnesses following a single vehicle road traffic collision in North Chailey on Tuesday (July 9).
A blue MG ZR was travelling southbound along the A275 at about 5.25pm when the driver left the road, struck two trees, and then rebounded back into the carriageway.
The 23-year-old local man was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital following the crash, which happened just north of St Peter’s School, and was released with cuts and bruises.
A police spokesperson said: “Fortunately no-one else was involved or hurt in this collision and the driver escaped with fairly minor injuries.
“It is believed that at the time of the crash there was a motorbike and cars travelling north who may have seen what happened.
“We’d particularly like to trace the motorcyclist and would ask them - and anyone else who thinks they may have witnessed the collision - to call police on 101, quoting serial 1282 of 9 June.
“We would also like to take this opportunity to thank members of the public for their patience whilst the road was closed.”
