A road in an East Sussex village is flooded this morning (Wednesday, October 9) following heavy rain and winds last night.

According to the AA’s traffic alert, the incident was first reported just after 4.15am today.

The road is just off the A27 and is affecting traffic in the Alfriston area.

Motorists are being urged to approach the area with care.

The AA, on its traffic bulletin, said: “Flooding on Alfriston Road both ways between the Willows car park and Lullington Road. Approach with care.”
