The roads in East Sussex are looking clear as we head into the weekend today (Friday, May 29).

However, there are a couple of small delays due to weight of traffic and rail passengers in and out of London may be affected by limited service at London Bridge, expected to last until the end of the day.

Roads

There are reports of slow moving traffic in both directions on the A259 at Eastbourne between the B2104 Langney Rise and the A2280 Lottbridge Drove. Believed to be just due to weight of traffic.

Reports of congestion on the A259 at Bexhill, De La Warr Road, before the A2036. Again due to weight of traffic.

There are no major problems reported on the county’s roads as of 5pm.

Rail

A signalling problem at London Bridge means there is a reduced Southeastern service through the station.

The following changes will apply until end of service today:

Some trains normally running to and from London Cannon Street will start and terminate at London Blackfriars;

Some trains normally running to and from London Charing Cross will start and terminate at London Cannon Street;

Journey times may be extended.

Southern Rail is not reporting any major disruption to services, although there are signalling problems at Norwood Junction.
