Emergency services at scene of collision near Bexhill

The incident, on the A269 Bexhill Road, in Ninfield, happened at approximately 4pm.

It is reported to be affecting traffic between Pear Tree Lane and B2095 Lower Street.

Pictures from the scene show one car has been damaged at the front end, while a second car has ended up in a tree on the side of the road.

A spokesman for the ambulance service said crews are at the scene assessing and treating one patient.

According to an eyewitness, the collision happened close to the spot where a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision last Wednesday (September 2).

On that occasion, the male motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital.
