Fatal Winchelsea crash victim named

The biker who died after a four-vehicle crash on the A259 outside Winchelsea on Sunday (September 27) has been named.

Shawn Field, of Campion Crescent, Cranbrook, Kent, passed away in hospital on Sunday evening having suffered serious injuries.

A 35-year-old Hawkhurst woman riding a Honda motorbike and a 65-year-old Rye man in a Citroen C1 were also involved.

Police are still appealing for witnesses to the collision which happened at around 11.45am.

Anyone who saw what happened is asked to email [email protected] or ring 101 quoting Operation Danebridge.
