Fire crews rescue person from vehicle after Horsham crash

A person has been rescued from a crash which is causing hold-ups outside a Horsham supermarket.

Traffic is backed up along Foundry lane due to the collision, which the fire service said involved two vehicles.

Crews were called to the crash at 11.40am this morning.

A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: “One fire engine from Horsham and one from Crawley, along with the Heavy Rescue Tender from Crawley, were mobilised to the scene.

“Upon arrival crews rescued one person from one of the vehicles using hydraulic rescue equipment.”

The last crew left the scene at 12.09pm, he added.
