Gas leak on A27 leads to road closure

Part of the A27 has been closed due to a gas leak, the fire service has said.

The A27 has been closed between Oving crossroads and the Bognor Road Roundabout.

Motorists have been advised to avoid the area where possible.

A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said on social media: "A27 CLOSED between the Oving crossroads and Bognor A27 roundabout due to a gas leak.

"Avoid the area if you can. People living in the area are advised to keep their doors and windows closed. More to follow."
