Horse rider injured after fall at trials in Rackham

A horse rider was airlifted to hospital after a fall at equestrian trials in Rackham on Sunday (June 28).

The rider, a man believed to be in his late 20s, fell from the horse at around 2.10pm.

Event medics and a doctor assisted paramedics who treated him for chest and abdominal injuries.

The air ambulance landed in a nearby field and flew the man to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for further assessment and treatment.
