Parsonage Road has been shut from today, November 30, until tomorrow between North Heath Lane and Rusper Road, West Sussex County Council said.
Works will be taking place to repair a leak on a six-way manifold, a spokesman said.
Southern Water is carrying out the works and emergency access will be maintained throughout.
