Lorry collision on A22 at Hailsham

Emergency services were called to a collision between a lorry and motorbike on the A22 in Hailsham this morning (Friday).

Police and paramedics attended the incident on the Boship Roundabout at around 6am.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said, “One man was taken to the Eastbourne District General Hospital with minor injuries.”

According to earlier traffic reports, the road was partially blocked and there was queueing traffic.

A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesperson said, “One ambulance crew attended the scene following reports of a road traffic collision involving a lorry and a motorbike reported at approximately 6am today.

“The motorcyclist was assessed and treated at the scene before being taken to Eastbourne District General Hospital with believed to be minor injuries.”
