Man taken to hospital after assault in Eastbourne

Police, the ambulance service and the air ambulance responded to an incident in Eastbourne last night.

A spokesman from Sussex Police said officers were called to the A259 Seaside Road, to reports of a man walking down the street ‘with a visible injury’ at around 9.50pm yesterday (Friday, April 24).

Three ambulances were called to the scene and an air ambulance also landed nearby.

A 25-year-old man, who had been assaulted, was taken to hospital, police confirmed.
