Motorcyclist dies in Ditchling collision

A motorcyclist was killed this afternoon (Tuesday August 28) when his bike was in collision with two cars near Ditchling.

Emergency services were called to the scene on the B2112 Common Lane, just south of the junction with the B2113 Folders Lane at 1.47pm. Sadly the man, aged 44 from Haywards Heath, was declared dead at the scene.

The occupants of the Ford Focus and Daihatsu Charade were uninjured. The road was expected to remain closed until the early evening while recovery and crash investigation work took place.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call Sussex Police on 101 quoting Operation Motcombe.
