One in hospital after car crashes into Crawley flats

Police were called to Goddard Close, Maidenbower, Crawley at around 12.45pm on Sunday (April 25) to reports of a car colliding with a block of flats.

Emergency services are in attendance, a police spokesman said, and a number of properties are being evacuated as a precaution while the safety of the building is assessed.

The driver of the car has been taken to hospital for treatment.

Turners Hill fire station said the driver was cut from the vehicle using ‘hydraulic cutting equipment’.
