Part of A27 closed as emergency services attend fire
The A27 from Bognor Bridge roundabout to Portfield Roundabout is closed this afternoon (August 07) due to a fire involving hay bales on a trailer, a spokesperson for West Sussex Fire and Rescue has said.

Members of the public have been asked to avoid the area, as teams from Bognor, Chichester and Selsey tackle the fire.
The smoke from the fire is causing poor visibility for other road users and a Sussex Police spokesperson said the road is expected to remain closed for at least four hours.
The road was reopened at 3.09pm after emergency services safely extinguished the fire. No casualties were reported and Sussex Police thanked members of the public for their patience.
