Pedestrian taken to hospital after collision in Hassocks

A pedestrian has been taken to hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Hassocks, the ambulance service has confirmed.

Paramedics were called to Keymer Road, Hassocks, at 4.10pm today (Wednesday, October 28) after reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.

One ambulance crew attended the scene and the pedestrian was assessed and treated before being taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton, the ambulance service said.

A spokesman for the South East Coast Ambulance Service said: "We would like to thank those who helped the pedestrian prior to our arrival."

Sussex Police were also called to the scene and have been approached for comment.
