Person left seriously injured after crash in Angmering

A person suffered 'serious injuries' after a crash in Angmering this afternoon (Sunday, March 7), police have said.

The A280 was blocked both ways after a two-vehicle collision at 3.40pm

There was a large emergency response, involving police officers, fire crews and paramedics.

The crash is said to have involved two cars on A280 Angmering Bypass from Water Lane to A259 Littlehampton Road.

In a statement at 5pm, a spokesman for Sussex Police said: "One person suffered serious injuries and is receiving treatment.

"The road is currently closed in both directions, to allow first responders to work safely.

"Drivers are advised to seek an alternative route."

The road has since reopened.
