Polegate crossing closed this week

The Polegate level crossing will be closed each night this week due to work being carried out by Network Rail.

Some 20 metres either side of the level crossing will be closed on Polegate High Street from 10.15pm-5am starting today (Monday, February 22) until the morning of February 26.

East Sussex County Council says a safe route will be provided for pedestrians and residents. Traffic will be diverted via Hailsham Road, Cophall Roundabout and Eastbourne Road.
