Police appeal after South Chailey man seriously injured

Police are appealing for witnesses to an accident that left a man from South Chailey seriously injured.

The single-vehicle car crash happened on the B2123 Falmer Road, Woodingdean, at around 9.30pm on Saturday (October 24).

A blue Rover 25 left the road and overturned in a field, leaving the driver - a 47-year-old man from South Chailey - with serious head injuries.

He was taken by ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.

The road was closed while the incident was dealt with.

Anyone who saw what happened or noticed the Rover being driven shortly before it crashed is asked to email collision.appeal or phone 101, quoting Operation Pollington.
