Police appeal after three Haywards Heath residents hurt in crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after three people from Haywards Heath were injured following a crash in Balcombe Road, Crawley, on Thursday (8 August).

A Renault Megane was travelling south along the B2036 at 6.32pm when it left the carriageway and collided with a tree.

The 36-year-old male driver suffered serious leg and arm injuries and had to be cut free from the vehicle by the Fire and Rescue Service.

Paramedics also treated a 29-year-old woman with a serious leg injury and a 32-year-old woman with minor injuries.

All three, who are from Haywards Heath, were taken to hospital.

A police spokesperson said: “We’d like to hear from anyone who saw the collision to contact police on 101, quoting reference 1266 of 8/8. We’d also like to take this opportunity to thank the public for their understanding and co-operation whilst the road was closed and scene investigated.”
