The Uckfield woman who was seriously injured when she fell from her motorcycle in Maresfield on Friday (October 25) has died in hospital.

Kerry-Ann Theron, 30, of Manor End, Uckfield, died in Southampton General Hospital on Friday night.

Kerry-Ann fell off her Yamaha motorcycle whilst riding north along The Straight Mile, Maresfield, shortly after 7am on Friday 25 October.

She was taken by air ambulance to the hospital in Southampton with a serious head injury but died there on Friday night.

Inspector Steve Grace of the Sussex Road Policing Unit at Polegate said; “We are still investigating the possibility that Kerry-Ann was hit by a passing vehicle after she fell from her machine. It may be that the driver did not realise what had happened and felt a bump or minor impact.

“If you were such a driver we would very much like to hear from you, and we would also like to speak to a woman who stopped briefly at the scene.

“Those people, and anyone else who was in the area at the time and has any information, are asked to contact us by phoning 101 or email ‘collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk’ quoting Operation Westwood.”
