Police appeal for witnesses to arson at flat in Horsham

Police are appealing for witnesses to an arson attack that caused ‘extensive damage’ to a flat in Horsham on Sunday November 23.

Emergency services were called to the flat above Horsham Car Centre in Crawley Road just after 6pm.

The fire was in the communal hallway of the flat, and is believed to have been started deliberately in a bin in the hallway.

Detective constable Karen Young said: “Thankfully no one was injured as there was no one in at the time, however there was extensive damage caused to the hall.

“We are appealing for any witnesses to the arson or anyone who may have been seen hanging around in the hours or days leading up to the fire.”
