Trains going to and from Littlehampton have been disrupted this afternoon (Saturday, April 24) due to a fire.

The fire is next to the track at Littlehampton, according to National Rail.

As a result, services between Littlehampton and Worthing/London Victoria Bognor/Portsmouth and Southsea have been affected.

Delays and cancellations are likely to continue until 3pm, National Rail said.

Staff are currently trying to extinguish the fire, a spokesman said, and attempts are ‘ongoing’.

Train tickets will be accepted on Stagecoach buses on the 700 route.
