Roads through Littlehampton have reportedly been 'gridlocked' as roadworks cause 'serious delays'.

The traffic lights on the A259 by the crematorium are reportedly at the root of the chaos.

A motorist affected told this newspaper: “The roads through Littlehampton are gridlocked – both ways along Arundel Road as far as the eye could see.

“I had to abandon my journey.”
