Search for missing Horsham man

A POLICE helicopter and ground units have been deployed in a bid to find a Horsham man who went missing from his home in Southdown Close, Roffey.

Officers have been searching for 72-year-old James McNeil overnight and say they are ‘particularly concerned because of the freezing night time conditions’.

Mr McNeil was last seen by his wife before going for a walk at 8pm yesterday (Sunday April 1).

He is described as white, about 6ft tall and of slim build with a South London accent. He is clean shaven, has receding grey hair and wears glasses.

Sussex Police have so far checked all local transport sites and continue the search today (April 2).

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Mr McNeil can get confused and disorientated at times and may not recognise where he is.
