A large section of Upperton Road near the junction of Gore Park Road and Selwyn Road is cordoned off as police and paramedics tend to an injured person.

A SECAmb spokesperson said, “We were called at 9am on Sunday (May 3) to reports of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle in Gore Park Road. We sent ambulance crews in one ambulance and two cars to the scene. They were joined by the air ambulance service.

“The patient was treated at the scene before being taken by road, not by air, to Conquest Hospital. We cannot confirm the patient’s injuries.”
