Signalling fault in at London station causes delays for Sussex rail users

A signalling fault between two London station has caused delays for rail users across Sussex this evening (June 5).

A fault with the signalling system between Norbury and East Croydon is causing disruption to journeys running between these stations.

As a result, trains may be delayed by up to ten minutes.

A spokesperson for Southern Rail confirmed that the delays are expected to last until 8pm.

The spokesperson said: “This disruption will affect the following service groups:

Trains from London Victoria to Eastbourne

“Trains from London Victoria to Bognor Regis / Portsmouth Harbour

“Trains from London Victoria to Littlehampton.

“Please check station screens and journey planners for the latest information for your intended train.

"Engineers will be on site to rectify the fault later this evening so this will cause delays until later on today.”
