St Leonards road closed - police, firefighters and ambulance at the scene

Sussex Police closed a road in St Leonards yesterday (May 16).

Sussex Police, East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, and South East Coast Ambulance Service were dealing with an incident in Battle Road, St Leonards.

The incident was by the Blackman Avenue junction. The road was closed and ‘Accident’ signs were placed at the scene by police.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “Police received a report of a collision between a Volvo V40 and a Vauxhall Astra on Battle Road in St. Leonards-on-Sea at around 4.20pm, on Monday (May 16).“Fuel and oil on the road needed to be washed down by colleagues from the fire service, whilst paramedics also attended the scene to treat minor injuries.“The vehicles were recovered and the road was later re-opened.“Anyone with any information or dash cam footage of the collision can contact police via email at [email protected]
