Sussex evening traffic bulletin for Monday, October 5

Here is your Sussex travel update for this evening (Monday, October 5).

An earlier accident this afternoon has led to a main road being partially blocked.

According to the AA, the incident involved a vehicle and pedestrian on the A275 in Nevill Road, Lewes.

There is congestion both ways on the road around Lewes Victoria Hospital.

On the A259 there is slow traffic on King Offa Way both ways from Ravenside Retail & Leisure Park (Ravenside Roundabout) to A269 Dorset Road in Bexhill due to construction works. Temporary traffic lights are in operation.

Traffic is heavier than normal on the B2093 The Ridge eastbound from Harrow Lane to Stonestile Lane in Hastings.

There is also slow traffic on the A21 Sedlescombe Road North southbound before A2101 St Helen’s Road.

West of the county, there is congestion on the A27 Old Shoreham Road westbound from A283 Steyning Road (Steyning turn off) to A2025 Grinstead Lane (Sompting Roundabout).

Traffic is also heavy on the A24 Findon Road at A27 Warren Road (Offington Corner), as well as on the A27 Chichester Road after A284 Arundel Bypass.
