Sussex evening travel update: Friday, April 23

Traffic is reported to be moving slowly on both approaches to the A27 at the Ashcombe roundabout.

A259 at Newhaven there is queuing traffic especially westbound.

Falmer Road southbound in Brighton there is slow moving traffic towards the Downs Hotel.

In Eastbourne, Dukes Drive is now clear after a reported accident around Wellcombe Crescent which was blocking the road.

In Brighton, the right lane is closed on Montague Street due to a truck getting stuck under the Montague Street Bridge. Emergency services are attending and one lane is open.

Normal train services have now resumed between Hayward’s Heath and Brighton.
