A27 near Lancing – lanes are closed for recovery work following reports of a crash involving a car and motorcycle. The A27 Old Shoreham Road eastbound is affected from Manor Road to A2025 Grinstead Lane (Sompting Roundabout). Westbound is now fully reopened.

A24 near Ashington – the exit ramp is closed after reports of a coach fire at B2133.

Uckfield – there are restrictions due to a wild fire on Lewes Road around The Highlands Inn.

A29 near Pulborough – the road is closed with queueing traffic due to an earlier collision. Stane Street is affected both ways from Gay Street Lane to Cray Lane. Traffic between Billinghurst and Pulborough is also affected.

A272 Bolney – there are temporary traffic signals due to construction on Cowfold Road around the A23 (Bolney Cross).

A271 Battle – temporary traffic signals are in place due to gas main work on North Trade Road near Claverham Community College.

Brighton – Gas main work on Queens Park Road with temporary traffic signals near Richmond Street.

A24 Worthing – lanes are closed for gas main work on Broadwater Road northbound near Queen Street.

A272 Cuckfield – there are temporary traffic signals for water main work in the village at B2184 Tylers Green.

Seaford – Crouch Lane is closed for water main work. The road is closed both ways between Steyne Road and High Street after a large sinkhole opened up in the road on August 11.
