Sussex travel: evening update for Tuesday, July 21
An accident earlier this afternoon on the A259 is causing delays as recovery work goes on, as reported by the AA.
The incident happened just before 2pm and involved two cars on the A259 Seaford Road at B2109 Avis Road by the roundabout near the Sainsbury’s petrol station.

Hide AdThere is also slow traffic on the A27 Polegate Bypass both ways between The Throughbred Pub and A22 Polegate Road in the construction area.
Slow traffic and traffic heavier than normal is also reported to be affecting the A22 Eastbound around Coldharbour Road, near Hailsham.
Traffic is also heavier than normal on the A259 High Street both ways at A283 Old Shoreham Road (The Bridge Inn roundabout).
In the west of the county, the AA is reporting slow traffic on the A29 Stane Street Southbound between A264 Horsham Road and High Street in the construction area.
Temporary traffic lights are in operation.
