Here is your evening travel update for Sussex on Wednesday, July 22.

The AA reports that the road is partially blocked with queueing traffic for two miles due to a burst water main on the A22 Hailsham Bypass Eastbound at A271 Lower Horsebridge (Boship Roundabout), which is affecting traffic on the approach to the roundabout.

There is also very slow traffic due to roadworks near Beauport Holiday Park in St Leonards causing delays back onto the A21 on A21 Sedlescombe Road North southbound.

The AA also reports slow traffic on the A27 Polegate Bypass Eastbound between The Throughbred Pub and A22 Polegate Road (Cophall Roundabout) in the construction area. Lane closures are causing delays.

There is queueing traffic and traffic heavier than normal on A259 Brighton Road both ways around A2025 South Street. The area is heavily affected by the earlier closure on the A27.

Traffic is also heavier than normal on the A259 High Street both ways at A283 Old Shoreham Road (The Bridge Inn roundabout), causing congestion to Worthing for eastbound traffic, and westbound traffic back to Southwick.
