Teenager injured in Eastbourne crash

A 17-year-old girl was taken to hospital after a two-car crash in Eastbourne yesterday (January 18).

The cars crashed and then hit a wall on Enys Road at the junction with Carew Road, at 3.40pm.

A teenager from Eastbourne who was a passenger in one of the cars, was taken by ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton, where she was kept overnight to be treated for a stomach injury.

Two passengers in the same car were treated for minor injuries as were the drivers of both cars.

An air ambulance was called to the scene but was not needed.
