Trespasser causes train delays in Eastbourne

At 11.46am on social media Southern Rail said they were aware of the incident and warned passengers that trains to and from Eastbourne may be delayed whilst emergency services deal with the situation.

The rail service has since said the person who was trespassing is now safe and the lines to and from Eastbourne have reopened.

A spokesperson for Southern Rail said, “We were made aware of a trespasser in the Eastbourne area earlier today. Emergency services were called and the person is now in a position of safety.

“All lines to and from Eastbourne have reopened and services are no longer affected.”
